EV Battery Innovation
IdeaA battery-swap station network for EVs — standardized packs, grid-aware charging, and full lifecycle recycling, built up in three phases.
EnergyEnergyEVBatteriesInfrastructure
Phase One
- Buy replacement batteries for all EV manufacturers.
- Train workers to replace batteries quickly and safely
- Setup battery-stations in key regions identified by proximity which can be reached with one battery load
- Use peak electrical grid overload to charge batteries at the battery stations
- Create monitoring systems batteries that maximizes the lifespan and health of batteries
Phase Two
- Expand Locations
- Incentivize EV Manufacturers to make Batteries easier to replace and make them standardized
- Invest in battery research, with a focus on how to prolong the lifespan and how best recycle batteries
- Lobby governments to invest in more battery-stations by promising more jobs better electrical infrastructure and to not rely on fossil fuels and thereby other governments
Phase Three
- Standardize batteries and battery connections and produce them ourselves.
- Start battery recycling sites
- Focus on capturing the market for the whole battery lifecycle
